About Perfofeminas
Perfofeminas is an international festival of performances and live art, held by and for women.
Created by the artist Génova Alvarado in 2018, the objective is to interweave and encourage the production of multidisciplinary women artists, with performative creations and shows that link the body to various visual, poetic and technological languages.
As of today, three editions have been produced, starting in 2018-2019 in Venezuela. The second edition will be held in 2022, in Serra Grande, Bahia (Brazil), and the latest, the Third Edition — Afropindorâmica, was also held in Serra Grande, between November 13 and 23, 2025, with a free program focused on performance, visual arts, music, cultural activities and art-education.
The project aims to promote access to contemporary art through performances and living arts, in addition to strengthening the artistic production of women and dissidents, promoting dialogue between artistic practices, territory and ancestrality, with activities distributed in different spaces in the city.
This last edition was made in partnership with artist and indigenous leader Bárbara Flores, of the cultural space "Flores Astrais", and Ailime Huckembeck, artist and manager of the cultural center "Centro Cultural Casa Serpente".
The project is in partnership with the initiatives the Aldir Blanc Bahia National Policy with financial support from the Bahia State Government, through the Secretary of Culture of the State, via PNAB, directed by the Ministry of Culture of the Federal Government.
